[phplib-dev] OOH Form rewrite: moved to PEAR

<PRE>Hi there,

now that Kristian has decided to close the cvs at NetUSE I've changed my
policy about the OOH Form rewrite slightly. I always said that I'd
finish the work on it in the phplib cvs before I check it into pear. Now
that I've had to update my cvs anyway I've decided to take it into pear
- just made the commit. I suggest that you remove the form stuff from
the cvs - I can do this myself if I get a cvs write account (user:
ulf_wendel).

Thanks,

Ulf

The CVS repository at phplib.netuse.de has closed down as of
now. I have archived the final CVS, and taken it offline. It
will not reopen again.

Please contact Nathan for CVS access at the sourceforge project
site, and switch over to the sourceforge project site for latest
versions.

Please do not contact me. I cannot help you.

The mailing lists phplib@... and
phplib-dev@... will be closing down on 01-Sep-2001.
The addresses will become invalid. There will be no migratory
service. Please contact Nathan for mailing list information at
the sourcforge site, and re-subscribe yourself to the new lists
at sourcforge.

Please do not contact me. I cannot help you.

The phplib.netuse.de website will be closing down on
01-Sep-2001. There will be a redirect to a new address provided
by Nathan with migratory information on it, since many external
sites point to phplib.netuse.de addresses.

Please do not contact me. I cannot help you.

Re[4]: [phplib-dev] PHPLib CVS at SourceForge

<PRE>Hello Chris,

I've just solved my problem using PuTTY's plink utility instead of
Cygwin's ssh (I'm using windows as a workstation).
For those who interested, get putty & plink, then add a session using
putty, configure it, save it, and then use the name of the session instead of
the cvs's server hostname. E.g, CVSROOT would be
user@... where putty_session_name is
the name of the session with configured connection parameters. set
CVS_SSH=plink.
I use the configuraton with WinCVS, and it works great (in WinCVS, set
alternative rsh to plink in ports tab).

Concerning your problem.
You should first ssh to cvs.sourceforge.net (logging in to the
shell.sourceforge.net is not sufficient, cvs and shell are different
servers). It doesn't give your a shell, but it will create your homedir
at cvs server.
Then add your public key to the cvs server using your account manager at CF (if you
don't, you'll have to enter your password with any connection)

<PRE>Damn. From CVS' docs:
warning: unrecognized response `text' from cvs server
If text contains a valid response (such as `ok') followed by an extra
carriage return character (on many systems this will cause the second
part of the message to overwrite the first part), then it probably means
that you are using the `:ext:' access method with a version of rsh, such
as most non-unix rsh versions, which does not by default provide a transparent
data stream. In such cases you probably want to try `:server:' instead of `:ext:'.

...... Exactly .....

I use OpenSSH_2.3.0p1 from the CYGWIN suite.

Dropping :ext: does not help.

cvs checkout: notice: main loop with CVSROOT=mderk@...
cvs [checkout aborted]: cannot connect to socket: Connection refused

CVS_RSH is set to ssh

Using :server: - the same thing.

Could someone advise?

<PRE>Hello all.
Just tried to use CVS at SF (SSH).
Logged in to create a homedir.
Added a pubkey to authorized_keys at cvs.sourceforge.net.

Then:
cvs -t -z9 -d:ext:mderk@... co php-lib
cvs checkout: notice: main loop with CVSROOT=:ext:mderk@...
-> Starting server: ssh cvs.phplib.sourceforge.net -l mderk cvs server
cvs checkout: warning: unrecognized response `ok' from cvs server

And then it hangs forever.
Has someone faced that thing before?
